Description
Pendant Luminaire With Coated Steel Wire Frame
The Nelson Saucer Bubble Pendant Luminaire Was Designed By George Nelson As Early As 1947 And Marks The Start Of A Revolution In The Lighting Industry. For The Luminaire, The Designer Was Inspired By A Series Of Satin Swedish Pendant Luminaires That Nelson Needed For His Office. But Because The Lamps Were Too Expensive For Him, He Made Use Of His Ingenuity And Created His Very Own Lamp. He Opted For A Plastic Spray Developed By The Us Military And Applied It To A Moulded Steel Frame. The Result Is The Nelson Saucer Bubble Pendant Luminaire, Which Is Reminiscent Of An Insect Cocoon And Attracts Everyone’S Attention.
Soft, Glare-Free Light
The Lamp Is Still Manufactured In The Same Factory As In The 50S. Each Luminaire Has A Steel Wire Frame Coated With A Semi-Transparent Polymer. This Allows The Light To Shine Gently Through And Creates A Pleasant Atmosphere In The Room. Arranged Above The Dining Table Or Coffee Table, The Luminaire Provides Glare-Free Light.
The Bubble Pendant Luminaire From Hay Is Available In Various Sizes And Shapes, Which Can Also Be Easily Combined With Each Other.
